Greetings from the African rainstorm land of Kenya! A whole lot of rain fell since last night. Plastic bottles floated down the streets in the swift currents of muddy water and elecricity was lost. Our day of construction is being reworked into other things for the day.
Yesterday we spent a long day traveling to meet the ZOE orphans who have been in thr program. Truly they are transformed. Harriet is a 22 year old farmer, growing maize, collards, tea and a plant that boosts your immunity (econasia ? spelling). She raises cows and sells the milk too. She is raising her two siblings who are in school. Before this she worked in housekeeping in town. Her parents are buried on the land near her 4 buildings. She is so thankful for the Zoe program and to God for her many blessings.. It was a priviledge to meet her. She said that to succeed you have to work hard. This sentiment is choed throughout all of the orphans that we met. They are truly an inspiration. Miracles do happen and are visible here. Alice Finnell
